It's hard to believe that after all of the preparation, hustle & bustle of the Holidays that it's all over in just a few short days! For most it's over in a few short hours... we were lucky enough to spread our family gatherings out among a few days. I wish I could have frozen time Christmas morning. This was the best by far.. I think because of the girls age. Liv was SO excited. She's so animated and care free. The anticipation of Santa's arrival was killing Grace.. She was prepared. She had the cookies, milk, carrots and a letter left for Santa and started her morning off at 4:30am!! Long gone are the days of sleeping in on Christmas morning! We were able to get her back to sleep until 6:45a - then we waited for my mom to come down so we could open presents. The girls were thrilled with what Santa brought them. They both got the American Girl dolls they wanted - that was their favorite by far! We had a busy day of opening gifts at Terry's parents and my mom's house. It was nice to spend the day with family. Our best gift was the one given to us by my brother and his wife. They just found out that they're expecting! Yeah! I'm super excited.. So next year we'll have a new little baby to add to our chaos!
I'm off of work for this week and I'm enjoying the time I get to spend with the girls. We're having lots of family time - including Wii bowling tournaments. Liv is starting to get the hang of it and we have gotten lots of giggles out of it!
