Happy Birthday Grace

Grace turned 8 over the weekend! My baby is growing up! We had a weekend long Birthday Celebration. Saturday she had her friends over and we did some crafts, painted faces & had cupcakes and ice cream. All the girls brought donations for our local Humane Society instead of gifts for Grace.. So we loaded everyone up and went to the Shelter. What a welcome! As you can see from the pictures they had a huge sign in front welcoming Grace. The girls got to play with the cats, dogs, and there was even a littler of puppies there. They were adorable! The girls just went from room to room. There is one cat there that Grace has gone to visit a few times. She looks like she could be Tink's (our cat) mom. She just loves Grace.. Every time she sees her she wraps her paws (NOT KIDDING) around Grace's neck and she'll just let Grace hold her. Grace loves going to the Humane Society and playing with the animals.. that has got to be her favorite thing to do. So we thought that taking her friends there would be a great way to celebrate her Birthday. They were so thankful of all the donations, it was nice to know that it'll all go to such good use.
Sunday we had a family gathering at Chett & Matt's Pizza. It was nice to spend the time with all of our family and Grace got a lot of great gifts! She's always so shy when it comes to opening presents and being the center of attention. I think she was relieved once it was over!
Monday she woke up with a sore throat and has been sick ever since): So she didn't get to go to school to pass out her cookies she made. I'm hoping that she's better by Wednesday. It's been a long week and I know she's anxious to go back to school to see her friends.
Spring Break is coming up and we're all anxiously awaiting some time off! We're thinking about taking a trip to Columbus to go to Cosi, the Zoo and maybe a pet expo. Just some time that we can spend with the girls.. looking forward to it! I'm also taking the girls to a play to see Wizard of Oz - hopefully Liv won't be too scared!
Puppy dog tails... We found out last week that BOTH Josh & Liz and Danielle are having boys!! We're so thrilled for them both. We can't wait to add a little testosterone to the bunch! I'm super excited that Josh and Liz have asked me to go with them to Register. The next few months are going to go by so fast! So far they've both been doing great and looking fabulous! I will continue to update on their status...
Happy BeLated Birthday to my Girl Shannon!! Her Birthday is on the 1st day of spring - she is a spring chic.. don't ya know!
