Note to self. if you blink.. just once.. life is surely going to pass you by! I thought I had this great idea.. I was going to use toothpicks and keep my eyes pried open. Surely, I won't miss a THING?!?! Not only is it not working.. I look hideous.. My girls will never let me out of the house!
Ha..
My baby girl (Grace.. who obviously isn't a baby anymore) is turning 9 in just a few weeks. I remember just like it was yesterday being pregnant with her. I was terrified. Here I was about to give birth and couldn't fathom how I was going to make it through the first 24hrs with her, let alone 9 years! At that time I didn't think I was capable of loving someone so much.. She proved me wrong! She is an amazing young lady who takes me by surprise each day. She's very complex but appreciates the simple things in life. She doesn't need a lot of toys, or "things" to occupy her time. She's happy reading her books, playing with her pets, or spending time with me or her Dad. She's an old soul who worries about us all. I'm thankful that she's such a good student and enjoys going to school! She is still dancing and is doing a super job! She started a Jazz class in January and I'm impressed with quickly she caught on. She's preparing for the recital which is in May - lots of practicing! She's also doing 4H this year and is hoping to take a sheep for her project. It'll be a learning experience for us all! She also wants to help out on her friends softball team, and continues to sing with her JAM team at church. There is so much to do - but when is it too much? It's quite different than where we were a few years ago. She was so shy that trying something new was really difficult for her.
Olivia is still as happy, go lucky as ever! Quite the opposite of Grace. That girl doesn't have a care in the world. Except for when she gets to go to school. She LOVES school! Her teacher, friends, and even the learning part. She's doing great writing her name (and all of ours), spelling words like: dance, sun, cat, dog, etc. We get great reviews from her teachers. They say she keeps the kids in line and they miss her when she's not there(:
She truly loves everyone.. And is full of compliments and kind words. She's constantly telling me how "adorable" & "comfortable" I am. I love how she uses her words. She can't get enough hugs and kisses from us all. Although, I know she'd like to get more from her sister. She looks up to her so much and would do (and give) anything for her! She is doing well in dance and is getting very excited for the recital. She is also starting t-ball in a few weeks.. I thought maybe she wouldn't be interested.. but she hasn't let ME forget! It's a great opportunity for her to see her friends in the summer time.. socialize mostly!
Terry and I are doing great! His bank has recently gone to extended hours and they are open 7 days a week! Thankfully he hasn't had to work very many weekends but has been putting long hours in during the week. It is paying off though - and it's nice to see him so happy!
And I've also started on a new venture. In January I started working at the girls Dance Studio! I was originally going to work just one night..but now I'm up to 4 and sometimes more. I absolutely love it! I'm teaching a few cheer classes, preschool tumbling, Acro & helping with ballet. It's been keeping me busy.. Especially with still doing day care. But the girls get to go with me.. which makes it even better! It's so nice to use my brain again and get some time outside the house. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and I am meant to be there! It's a perfect fit!
You can check out the studio at http://www.norwalkdancecenter.com/
I haven't been very good about taking pictures. So I only have a few to post. I'm going to try to be better about that.
Happy Spring and thanks for stopping by!
Love,
Sara & Family
